Macmillan Coffee Morning & Brave The Shave - Friday 28th September 201830-Jul-2018

On Friday 28th September 2018 Advanced Maintenance UK Ltd are hosting the annual Macmillan coffee morning in order to raise money for Macmillan cancer support.

All are welcome to our office in Theale (RG7 4AA) we will be selling various yummy cakes, home baked by some of our very own staff, in exchange for a small donation towards this great cause and would really appreciate your support in making this our biggest coffee morning.

We will also be hosting our very own 'Bake off' competition to see who can make the best decorated/tasting cakes. For those who would be interested in participating in this, these must be home-baked by yourself.

The picture below is the fantastic collection of cakes that we had last year, which lead to us raising a brilliant £645.00 which we would love to match (or beat) again this year!!

This year is also extra special, as our very own Kellie has decided to ‘Brave the Shave’ in order to raise money for this amazing cause!! Kellie will be having her hair cut off at the Advanced Maintenance UK Ltd office after the coffee morning.

Before the big shave at 13:30 Kellie is giving people an opportunity to cut a plait off of £5.00 a go - so if she has given you any grief at all over the past 7 years the time for revenge is here! Once all the plaits are off our director Ricky Gale will be ready with the shaver for 0.5 grade all over!

All donations for Kellie’s Brave the Shave can be directly donated to Macmillan by CLICKING HERE, alternatively there is a sponsor form and donation box in the office in the office (being manned 24/7 by Emma D) if you would like to support Kellie please add your name, please remember it's your support that counts, there is no such thing as a small donation, all donations will help make a change for those going through Cancer.

Why should you donate?

Macmillan nurses are trained to provide specialist care for people living with cancer, with each donation you could help give Macmillan nurses more:

  • Time to give medial help - You could ensure a Macmillan chemotherapy nurse can give vital treatment to one or more cancer patients
  • Time to give practical help - You could ensure a Macmillan nurse can help more people living with cancer to get the equipment and support they need to stay living in their own home
  • Time to give emotional help - You could ensure a Macmillan nurse can talk to one more wife or husband to help them come to terms with what’s happening to the person they love

So please don’t forget to stop by and help make this the most successful Coffee Morning yet!!!
