When you choose a contractor, it’s not just about what services they provide, it’s about who you’ll be working with. That’s why we’ve always believed in putting faces to names and highlighting the trust that comes from a team who know their clients inside and out.

Meet the Advanced Maintenance Team: Continuity You Can Rely On

One of the things our clients value most about Advanced Maintenance is the continuity of our team. While the company has grown, a core group of people have been with us anywhere from 5 years to more than 25. That kind of loyalty doesn’t just bring technical knowledge, it creates long-standing relationships and an understanding of our clients’ estates that only comes with time.

That story begins in 1998, when David Jones joined as Technical Director. Just a few years later, in 2001, Tony Williams came on board, bringing his expertise as Operations Manager and Engineering Health & Safety Lead. By 2008, Ricky Gale had stepped into the role of Operations Director, helping to steer the company through its next stage of growth.

In 2009, the team expanded again with the arrival of Andy Cox, a long-standing Ventilation Engineer; Andrew Rumble, now Operations Manager; and Bryce Bellman, who continues to play a key role in project liaison and health & safety. The following year, 2010, saw the addition of Kellie Pickett in Quality Assurance and Marketing and Lisa Gale in Insurance & Accounts, both of whom continue to support and shape the business today.

By 2013, Marc Cox had joined as A2 Dominion Team Leader, followed in 2015 by two more key appointments: Abbie Parker, now our Head of Operations, and Paul Sims, who works as an Operations Supervisor. In more recent years, we’ve been proud to welcome colleagues such as Charlotte Purser and Samantha Dyal in 2019, supporting First Response and Voyage Care respectively, and Kim Scales, who joined the A2 Dominion team in 2020.

From directors who have been with us since the very beginning to account administrators who have quickly become essential to our clients, this breadth of long service across all departments means our clients don’t just work with engineers, they work with people who know their estates, their systems, and often their teams by name. It’s this continuity that builds trust before we even step on site.

Dedicated Teams Supporting Clients

Behind the scenes, our office and project teams keep everything running smoothly. Our First Response team, Anne, Charlotte, Mandy, Sam and Zoe, are often the first voices our clients hear, handling enquiries quickly and with a personal touch. The A2 Dominion team, led by Marc with Adam, Emily, Kim and Michelle, dedicate their time to supporting one of our largest housing clients, providing consistency and familiarity day after day.

Our Accounts team, Donna and Lisa, keep the numbers balanced and ensure that projects run seamlessly in the background. Meanwhile, Health & Safety is overseen by Bryce Bellman and Tony Williams, ensuring compliance is never left to chance. Every department plays a role in keeping promises to clients, and the strength is in the collaboration between office and field.

Skilled Engineers With the Right Checks in Place

For our clients, especially in housing, healthcare and education, it’s not enough to simply “have the skills.” Safety and reassurance matter too. That’s why all our engineers are Enhanced DBS checked, safeguarding-trained, and accustomed to working in sensitive environments.

On the technical side, our engineers bring a huge range of expertise, from commercial catering and plantrooms to heating, ventilation and renewables. Among the team are specialists in oil, gas, LPG, MVHR and PIV systems, as well as NIBE technologies, exhaust air and air source heat pumps, HIU servicing and installation. Their experience extends across complex environments, from high-dependency care homes to schools and housing estates, meaning they know how to adapt to each client’s needs.

This combination of technical skill and safeguarding assurance gives clients confidence before we even arrive on site.

Why It Matters

For us, “trust” isn’t just a word we put in a tender, it’s something built day after day, project after project. By showing who we are and the experience we bring, we hope clients feel reassured that they’re in safe hands.

Because at the end of the day, buildings may be bricks and systems, but the people who look after them? That’s where trust really begins.
